| Okay, not going to lie, this was a pretty good finale and got me sad but the show as a whole was a totally different story. I knew coming into this entry that it is the weakest among the main storylines but it was kind of worse than I imagined, in all honesty. Narrative-wise, the ideas seemed interesting but the execution really paled in comparison, if you ask me. Didn't really get a few bits too and the pacing was horrendous. Although the romance between Saber and Shirou was fine-to-good, most other things were a miss, sadly. Character-wise, there were a few interesting characters, such as best girl Saber, best winger Rin & cool lad Archer, but I can't say I was wholly impressed. MC was seriously intolerable for most of the way through, for one. Enjoyed a bit of the antics early up though, good ol' retro feeling lol. On the sound department end, a few of the soundtracks and the ED stood out for me. They were certainly pleasing. VA, aside from some of the Western chants, I didn't have much complaints lol. Animation-wise, this last ep was easily the best but for most of the remaining episodes, it was low quality to say the least. I know Ufotable's adaptions are going to be better but I'm a little skeptical now... Anyway, I'll try not to let that influence my experience. Off to UBW now! |

| this was one of the saddest anime ending i ever watched :( though on some manner, it was expected that syber would gone. still, this episode made the right emotion pack. and at least rin could have shirou all for herself. lol at the end of the day though, i wonder what is destroying the holy grail worth for. isn't the holy grail war supposed to be happening again anyway? i feel they didn't explained that. after all, even shirou's father destroyed it, so why it should be any difference? but maybe because, as kiri said, it was supposed to be fully materialised now, that it would be the truly ending for the holy grail war? (and maybe that's why there were so many of them) still, i can't believe that after all of this, we haven't truly seen the holy grail itself lol. this was very fine anime. the pace was pretty slow on the first 10 episodes, but once the pace picked up, the all character development in the 10 first episodes were worth any second. shirou and syber might be one of the best anime couples i had seen. the art wasn't the best, there were some more than average amount of episodes that was entirely bad. but the animation most of the time didn't failed. the OST though, that was amazing. i still feel there's more to the story than FSN showed, but i guess i would find those in the other series. can't wait. 8/10 |

Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo is a Spin-Off Light Novel which is about completely dismantling the Holy Grail , so it may interest you once you finished the Animes. If you have time , i'd suggest you to play the Visual Novel , there is some more scenes (Developing/Romantic) about the two of them , on top of the Last Episode , an Epilogue of the series about them. (You can also watch it on Youtube.) There is also Hollow Ataraxia , a Sequel Slice-Of-Life with all the characters of the series , and there is many funny/romantic moments. | This was a pretty nice conclusion while not that great but i understand and agree the pacing was wacky at times and characters were a bit sloppy between one and another but overall, it's between 7.5 to 7.8 but guess i'll give it an 8. Nevertheless, I'm still interested in continuing to the prequel that is Fate/Zero and UBW soon followed by Heaven's Feel after that. |

| I finished rewatching it yesterday... and I'm still touched by how good this last episode is. I have a lot of thoughts about the show, some bad, some good but it has probably been said already on these 12 pages. Ever since 2006 I have wanted to play the goddamn visual novel but I'm a slacker, to see the Last Episode... Nothing anyone says will ever make me change my mind: this ending makes you fall in love with Saber. I love how flawed she is, how beautiful she is, it's insane how I have liked this character for a lot of years. The show wasn't THAT bad to me but then again, I am no visual novel player. I understand their criticism to this after how ufotable treated the other routes. Still, I love this ending beyond words. La Sola is one of my favorite soundtrack songs ever. 7/10 One of my favorite frames that is not Saber: |

| woah the progression and character development in last few segments is extraordinary .Saber holding her stance ,ragged and beaten down yet having her feary fire eyes gave me goosebumps.For Shirou and Saber to be bathe by Avalon at the same time was a nice touch .Shirou accepting of his ideal as short sighted and letting it go must have been a tough ask considering the 'projection' of his heroism is but a cope to his trauma and something which defines his character.And at hindsight he is still just a teenage kid .AO get fucked. Anyway, it gets a 7/10 from me and Artoria is getting grailed to lvl 120 foh sure lol. |
| 5/5 Episode because the season ended with no cliff hanger and actually concluded and showed what happened to the characters, W for that. Now here's a a few things I want to get across, 1. Sakura deserves justice, she got the main character stolen from her and she got mixed into the Holy Grail War, with her life on the line. 2. Rin sacrificed archer so that the main character could win, leaving her with no chance to attain the Holy Grail. What did the main character do in return? Nothing but a thank you. He probably wanted archer dead deep down because they didn't seem to get along. 3. Some parts of the anime was carried on way too long. The whole first half was showing how Saber and the main character always argue because the main character won't kill anyone and thinks he's strong enough to take down anything and he ends up on the verge of death. Not gonna lie, it made me a bit annoyed with our main character that he's too egotistical upon his abilities and choices. He's lucky Rin helped him out a lot. Okay I'm done with those complaints, now onto some questions 1. Could the main character be able to materialize the Holy Grail if he was willing to sacrifice the city.? 2. Is Rin bi-polar? She tried to kill the main character (seriously) but then ends up helping him along the whole season giveing out her life and sacrificing her servant. I dunno what the switch up was but lowkey her crash out on the main character was valid. 3. Why does Sakura have magic potential in her and how come she somehow was with the main character from the very start. This can't be just a coincidence. If there's a season 2 to this story, she definitely got some major role there. - Overall the season was pretty annoying in the first half, the second half carried though |

Even if she gave the vibe of wanting to kill Shirô, because she had to do so as a Magus, she really never wished for it. Fate/Stay Night is adapted from a Visual Novel, which use the concept of "Routes". Each of them is a different scenario, with a different outcome and developments, and where you learn different infos. They just start the same way. This Anime is the 1st Route. You learn about the basic rules, and Saber. Unlimited Blade Works is the 2nd one. You learn more about Shirô, Rin and Archer. Heaven's Feel (Trilogy of Movie) is the 3rd and final one. You learn about Sakura (infos about Kirei and Illya were cut). Fate/Zero is basically a bonus, about what happened to Kiritsugu and Kirei back then.
